ज्ञानयोगी का संदेश ..(Saint knowledge of the message ..)

राजा थिबा एक महान ज्ञानयोगी थे। एक बार एक भिक्षु उनके पास पहुंचा और उनसे कहने लगा - ‘हे राजा, मैं वर्षों से अखंड जप और ध्यान कर रहा हूं, लेकिन ज्ञान की प्राप्ति नहीं हुई। एक आप हैं जो राजसी वैभव के बीच रहते हैं फिर भी ज्ञानयोगी कहे जाते हैं। इसका रहस्य क्या है? राजा थिबा ने कहा - ‘मैं उचित समय पर तुम्हारे प्रश्न का उत्तर दूंगा। उससे पहले तुम यह दीपक लेकर मेरे अंत:पुर में प्रवेश करो। वहां सुख और भोग की वह सारी सामग्री है, जिसकी कामना में साधारण मनुष्य दौड़ता रहता है।’ भिक्षुक राजा का दिया वह जलता हुआ दीपक लेकर चलने लगा तो राजा ने उसे रोका और कहा- ‘स्मरण रहे, यह दीपक बुझने न पाए।’ भिक्षु राजा के अंतःपुर में दीपक लिए गया और कुछ ही देर बाद वापस राजा के पास आ गया। राजा ने पूछा - ‘यहां सभी कुछ था, सुस्वादु भोजन, मदिरा और अनंत वैभव। तुमने किसी का उपयोग किया या नहीं?’ भिक्षु ने कहा - ‘आपने मेरे लिए इतनी सारी वस्तुएं उपलब्ध कराईं। परम गोपनीय अंतःपुर के द्वार तक खोल दिए, लेकिन मन तृप्त नहीं हुआ। वास्तव में मेरा पूरा ध्यान दीपक पर था कि कहीं यह बुझ न जाए।’

थिबा ने कहा - ‘बस यही एक बिंदु है, जिसे न समझ पाने के कारण सभी लोगों को ज्ञान प्राप्ति नहीं हो पाती। हममें बहुत से लोग सुख का उपभोग तो कर लेते हैं लेकिन आत्मज्ञान के दीपक की ओर बिल्कुल ध्यान नहीं दे पाते। अंततः वह दीपक तो बुझ जाता है और हम भोग में ही लगे रह जाते हैं। अच्छा तो यह हो कि हम मर्यादा में रह कर भोग करें, लेकिन अपनी आत्म-उन्नति का दीपक सदा प्रज्ज्वलित रखें। जो मनुष्य दोनों में संतुलन बना लेते हैं, वही श्रेष्ठ कहलाते हैं। सुख के साथ ही आत्म-उन्नति के लिए भी सजग रहने की बड़ी आवश्यकता है।’
