अहंकार का भाव ..(Sense of pride .)

मनुष्य का प्राकृतिक गुण नहीं है-मद। इसे वह अपने बारे में गलत धारणाओं के कारण धारण कर लेता है। दरअसल षड्विकारों में मद पतन का चौथा कारण है। मद मनुष्य का अपना अर्जित मनोरोग है। यहां रोग का अर्थ है शरीर की प्रक्रिया को विकृत कर देना। जिस प्रकार भला-चंगा हाथी मदांध होने के बाद अपना विवेक खो देता है और गलत आचरण करने लगता है उसी प्रकार जब मनुष्य मदांध हो जाता है तो उसका विवेक नष्ट हो जाता है और विवेक के बगैर मनुष्य पशु से भी बदतर हो जाता है। पशु का अर्थ होता है वह जो ‘पाश’ में बंधा हो। पशु को पाश में इसलिए बांधा जाता है, क्योंकि वह अविवेकी प्राणी है। कभी-कभी मदांध व्यक्ति को भी पाश में बांधा जाता है, ताकि वह गलत आचरण न करे। पशुता केवल पशु का ही धर्म नहीं है, मनुष्य भी तब पशु बन जाता है जब उसका अपना सब कुछ नष्ट हो जाता है और वह गलत आवरण ओढ़ लेता है। हमारे संतों ने इसीलिए कहा है कि जिस व्यक्ति का अंतर्मन भर जाता है वह षड्विकारों को स्वीकार नहीं कर सकता। मदांध व्यक्ति भीतर से पूरी तरह खाली होता है और इस खाली स्थान को भरने के लिए वह कभी काम के माध्यम से, कभी क्रोध के माध्यम से और कभी लोभ के माध्यम से अपने गलत अभिमान को प्रदर्शित कर दूसरों के बीच अपनी स्वीकृति चाहता है।  मद का अर्थ ही होता है जो आप नहीं हैं वैसा होने का आचरण करना। फलों से भरी डाली झुकी रहती है, लेकिन सूखी डाली तनी खड़ी रहती है। इस सूखी डाली को भी फल होने का गौरव चाहिए। इसीलिए वह फलयुक्त होने का व्यवहार करती है। हमारे जीवन में भी वैसे लोग आते हैं जो स्वयं तो कंगाल होते हैं, लेकिन कभी अपनी बातों से, कभी व्यवहार से ऐसा आचरण करने लगते हैं जिससे लोग उनकी झूठी शान को वास्तविक समझ लें। कुल मिलाकर मद एक नकारात्मक प्रवृत्ति है, एक विकार है। इस विकार को जब आप दूर कर देते हैं तब आपके व्यक्तित्व में चार-चांद लग जाते हैं। मद से दूर रहकर आपका जीवन सकारात्मक दिशा में जाने लगता है। किसी भी अवगुण को जितना संभव हो सके उतनी जल्दी दूर करें। ऐसा करने के लिए आप में दृढ़ संकल्प का होना जरूरी है।
