समस्याएं ..(Problems ..)

सबसे बड़ी समस्या यह है कि समाज में व्याप्त विषमताओं से किस प्रकार छुटकारा पाया जाए और उज्‍जवल भविष्य की संरचना के लिए क्या किया जाए ताकि आपदारहित और खुशहाली का जीवन जिया जा सके। समाज विज्ञानियों द्वारा कठिनाइयों का कारण अभावग्रस्तता को मान लिया गया है। इसी मान्यता के आधार पर यह सोचा जा रहा है कि साधन-सुविधाओं वाली संपन्नता की अधिकाधिक वृद्धि की जाए जिससे अभीष्ट सुख-साधन उपलब्ध होने पर प्रसन्नतापूर्वक रहा जा सके। मोटे तौर पर अशिक्षा, दरिद्रता और अस्वस्थता को प्रमुख कारणों में गिना जाता है और इनके निवारण के लिए नए नीति निर्धारण का औचित्य भी है, लेकिन देखना यह है कि वस्तुस्थिति समझें  बगैर और वास्तविक व्यवधानों की तह तक पहुंचे बगैर जो प्रबल प्रयत्न किए जा रहे हैं या किए जाने वाले हैं, वे कारगर हो भी सकेंगे या नहीं? प्रगतिशील जनों में से तमाम ऐसे हैं जिनके पास न तो कोई पैतृक संपदा थी और न बाहर वालों की ही कोई वांछित सहायता मिली फिर भी वे अपने मनोबल और पुरुषार्थ के आधार पर आगे बढ़ते गए। ऊंचे उठते चले गए और सफलता के उस उच्च शिखर पर जा पहुंचे जो जादू सरीखा लगता है। वस्तुत: उन सफलताओं के पीछे एक रहस्य काम कर रहा होता है कि उन्होंने अपनी उपलब्धियों का सुनियोजन किया और भटके बगैर नियत-उपक्रम अपनाए रहे। जन-सहयोग भी उन्हीं के साथ लगता है जिनमें सद्गुणों का, सत्प्रवृत्तियों का बाहुल्य होता है।  इसी प्रकार अशिक्षा का कारण यह नहीं है कि पुस्तकें, कापियां और कलमें मिलना बंद हो गई हैं या इतनी निष्ठुरता भर गई है कि पूछने पर कुछ बता देने के लिए कोई तैयार नहीं होता। वास्तविक कारण यह है कि शिक्षा का महत्व ही अपनी समझ में नहीं आता और उसके लिए उत्साह ही नहीं उत्पन्न होता। पिछड़े क्षेत्रों में खोले गए स्कूल प्राय: छात्रों के अभाव में खाली पड़े रहते हैं और नियुक्त अध्यापक रजिस्टरों में झूठी हाजिरी लगाकर खाली हाथ वापस लौट जाते हैं। अगर कमर कस ली जाए कि हमें शिक्षित या संपन्न बनना है और उस दिशा में उत्साह के साथ सोचा और प्रयत्न किया जाए तो कोई कारण नहीं कि मार्ग न मिले या आगे बढ़कर सफलता तक पहुंचा न जा सके।
