आज जब सुबह सूरज उगा तो उसने अपनी किरणें, घास-फूस को, फूल देने वाले पेड़ों और फल देने वाले पेड़ों, अच्छे और बुरे लोगों, अपराधियों और संतों, सबको बराबर दीं। 

आपके पास देने को कुछ है तो बस दे दीजिए। वह इंसान इसके काबिल है या नहीं, यह सोचना आपका काम नहीं। आप नहीं देना चाहते तो मत दीजिए, वह भी ठीक है। आपके मन में देने की भावना उठती है तो बस दे दीजिए। हो सकता है वह आदमी चोर हो, यह आपकी समस्या नहीं है। आप किसी को देते हैं तो आप उससे जुड़ जाते हैं।

छोटी-मोटी चीजें जो आप देना चाहते हैं, उसके लिए आप इतना हिसाब क्यों लगाते हैं कि जिंदगी ही गडबड़ा जाए? आप ऐसा इसलिए करते हैं, क्योंकि आप यह जानना चाहते हैं कि आप जो दे रहे हैं, उससे आपको खूब अच्छे नंबर मिलने वाले हैं या नहीं?

अब अगर कोई अंधा आदमी आकर भीख मांगता है, तो लोग उसकी पलकें उठाकर देखना चाहते हैं कि वह सचमुच अंधा है या नहीं। आपको यह पता लगाने की जरूरत नहीं है। अगर कोई इंसान खुद को इतना गिरा लेना चाहता है कि उसे आपसे एक रुपया लेने के लिए अंधा बनने का नाटक करना पड़े, तो वह उस एक रुपये के काबिल है। 

अगर आप सचमुच किसी को कुछ देना ही चाहते हैं तो यह कतई जरूरी नहीं कि वह किसी मायने में असमर्थ हो। देना दरअसल, आपसे सरोकार रखता है, किसी दूसरे से नहीं। आपके पास कुछ बचा हुआ खाना है, तो आप सड़क से किसी को बुलाकर उसे दे सकते हैं। दुनिया भर में और कहीं भी आप ऐसा नहीं कर सकते। आपकी खुशकिस्मती है कि जब आप कुछ देना चाहते हैं तो कोई लेने वाला भी है।
