सफलता की कुंजी .. (The key to success ..)

फोर्ड मोटर के मालिक हेनरी फोर्ड दुनिया के चुनिंदा धनी व्यक्तियों में शुमार किए जाते थे। एक बार एक भारतीय उद्योगपति भारत में मोटर कारखाना लगाने से पहले फोर्ड से सलाह करने अमेरिका गए। उन्होंने अमेरिका पहुंच कर हेनरी फोर्ड से मिलने का समय मांगा। फोर्ड ने कहा, ‘दिन में आपके लिए मैं ज्यादा समय नहीं निकाल पाऊंगा, इसलिए आप शाम छह बजे आ जाइए।' वह शाम को उनके घर जा पहुंचे। वहां एक आदमी बर्तन साफ कर रहा था। उन्होंने उससे कहा,‘मुझे हेनरी साहब से मिलना है।’ वह आदमी उन्हें बैठक में बैठाकर अंदर चला गया। थोड़ी देर बाद उसने उनके सामने आकर कहा, ‘तो आप हैं वह भारतीय उद्योगपति। मुझे हेनरी कहते हैं।’ भारतीय उद्योगपति को असमंजस में देखकर हेनरी ने कहा, ‘लगता है आपको मेरे हेनरी होने पर संदेह हो रहा है।’ भारतीय उद्योगपति ने सकपकाकर कहा, ‘हां सर, अभी आपको एक नौकर का काम करते देखकर आश्चर्य हुआ। इतनी बड़ी कंपनी के मालिक को बर्तन साफ करते हुए देखकर किसी को भी भ्रम हो सकता है।’ हेनरी ने कहा, ‘शुरुआत में मैं एक साधारण इंसान था। अपना काम खुद करता था। अपने हाथ से किए गए कठोर परिश्रम का ही फल है कि आज मैं फोर्ड मोटर का मालिक बना हूं। मैं अपने अतीत को भूल न जाऊं और मुझे लोग बड़ा आदमी न समझने लगें, इसलिए मैं अपने सभी काम खुद करता हूं। अपना काम करने में मुझे किसी तरह की शर्मिंदगी और झिझक महसूस नहीं होती।’ भारतीय उद्योगपति उठकर खड़े हो गए और बोले, 'सर, अब मैं चलता हूं। जिस मकसद से आपके पास आया था, वह एक मिनट में ही पूरा हो गया। मेरी समझ में आ गया कि सफलता की कुंजी दूसरों पर भरोसा करने में नहीं, अपने आप पर भरोसा करने में है।'
