बिन पेंदी का बर्तन ...(Rolling utensils ..)

जय गुरुजी. एक महात्मा से एक व्यक्ति ने कहा - ‘मैं जीवन में बहुत भटका हूं। आपकी प्रशंसा सुनकर कुछ पाने की आशा लेकर आया हूं।’ महात्मा ने कहा - ‘जरूर मिलेगा! लेकिन पहले यह बताओ, श्रद्धा है?’ व्यक्ति बोला-‘मैं पूरी श्रद्धा लेकर आया हूं। आप जो बताएं, मैं करूंगा।’ महात्मा ने कहा -‘अगर यह सोच है तो आओ मेरे साथ, लेकिन सावधान! तुम्हें चुप रहना होगा। सिर्फ देखना है, पूछना कुछ भी नहीं। मन में श्रद्धा रखना और शांति से देखते रहना।’ महात्मा उसे लेकर एक कुएं पर गए। उन्होंने कुएं से पानी भरा और एक बर्तन में उलट दिया। लेकिन बर्तन का सारा पानी उसके नीचे से निकलकर बह गया क्योंकि उस बर्तन में पेंदी नहीं थी। महात्मा उस बर्तन को बार-बार भरते और सारा पानी बह जाता। उस व्यक्ति के मुंह से निकल पड़ा - ‘रुकिए, इस तरह तो यह सारी जिंदगी नहीं भर सकता। आप क्या कर रहे हैं?’ महात्मा ने कहा- ‘अब तू जा। तुझमें श्रद्धा क्या होगी, धैर्य भी नहीं है। तू कुछ नहीं पा सकता।’ व्यक्ति चला गया परंतु सारी रात नहीं सो सका। सोचता रहा - ‘मुझसे बड़ी भूल हुई। यह तो एक परीक्षा थी। मुझे चुप रहना चाहिए था। मेरा क्या बिगड़ रहा था। मेहनत तो उनकी बेकार जा रही थी। लेकिन मैं उससे चूक गया।’ अगले दिन वह फिर महात्मा के पास आया और माफी मांगने लगा। महात्मा बोले -‘जितनी समझदारी तूने मेरे लिए दिखाई, उतनी अपने प्रति दिखाई होती तो स्वयं ही पा गया होता। तू न जाने कब से अपने मन के पात्र में तरह-तरह की कामनाएं भर रहा है। लेकिन क्या बिना पेंदी का पात्र भरा जा सकता है।’ वह महात्मा की बात का मर्म समझ गया।
