धर्म का रहस्य ..(Mystery of Religion ..)

मनीषियों का मत है कि अधर्म अनेक हो सकते हैं, किंतु धर्म एक ही हो सकता है। धर्म का अर्थ उस मार्ग पर चलना है जो हमें स्वयं की खोज यानी परमात्मा तक ले जाता हो। धार्मिक वह है जो स्वयं की खोज में यानी परमात्मा की खोज में निकल पड़ा हो, किंतु इस निकल पड़ने का अर्थ संसार से पलायन नहीं, अकर्मण्यता और किसी भरे-पूरे परिवार का आश्रय विहीन कर जाना हर्गिज नहीं हो सकता। स्मरण रहे, संसार की समस्त भौतिक उपलब्धियों में प्रतिद्वंद्विता है। हजार झंझटें हैं, किंतु चुपचाप धर्म की शरण में जाने में कोई प्रतिद्वंद्विता नहीं। हम एक कदम परमात्मा की ओर सच्चे मन से उठाएं तो वह चुपचाप सौ कदम हमारी ओर सरक आता है और ये कार्य ऐसे भी हो सकता है कि किसी को भी खबर न हो और हम अनंत खोज की यात्र पर निकल पड़ें। अगर हम स्वयं को भीतर खोज लें तो हमें पता चल सकेगा कि भीतर बाहर, यत्र-तत्र-सर्वत्र परमात्मा ही मौजूद है। अगर हम खोज बाहर से शुरू करेंगे तो भी अंतत: हमारा रुख भीतर की ही तरफ हो जाएगा। तब हमें मालूम पड़ेगा कि बाहर भीतर सब जगह परमात्मा ही है। ठीक उसी प्रकार जैसे नर्तक में नृत्य समाया हुआ होता है, उसी प्रकार वह सब में, कण-कण में समाया हुआ है, किंतु यह एक विडंबना ही है कि धन, पद की खोज में तो हम स्वयं निकल पड़ते हैं और उसे हासिल करने के लिए दिन-रात एक कर देते हैं। कारण यह कि हमें मालूम होता है कि हम जरा सा चूके तो नाकाम हो जाएंगे, किंतु धर्म की खोज के नाम पर हम आलसी हो जाते हैं और सोचते हैं कि कोई परमात्मा को खोजकर हमारे सामने ला दे। परिणामस्वरूप हम कुछ गरिमाहीन गुरुओं के चक्कर में फंस जाते हैं और वे हमें व्यर्थ के क्रियाकलापों व आडंबरों में उलझा देते हैं और हमें ये भ्रम हो जाता है कि हम धर्म की खोज कर रहे हैं। जीसस, मुहम्मद, कृष्ण, कबीर, नानक आदि मनीषियों ने जिस-जिस मार्ग पर चलकर परमात्मा का मार्ग पाया, वे उसी की चर्चा करते हैं। हम उसी चर्चा में उलझ जाते हैं और ये हमें याद नहीं रहता कि वे मार्ग भिन्न-भिन्न सही किंतु लाते परमात्मा तक हैं और वे सभी वहां पहुंचे। इसलिए हमें विभिन्न मार्गो (संप्रदायों) में न उलझकर सीधे परमात्मा रूपी मंजिल पर दृष्टि करके दृढ़ता से चल पड़ना चाहिए। यही धर्म का रहस्य है।
