परमात्मा की संतान ..(Child of God ...)

एक दिन गेरुआ वस्त्र धारण किए एक संत जूता बनाने वाले के घर के सामने जा खड़े हुए। वह आंगन में ही अपने काम में तल्लीन था। अचानक किसी को आया देख उसकी एकाग्रता भंग हुई। तभी संत उससे बोले -'भाई, बड़ी प्यास लगी है। क्या थोड़ा पानी मिलेगा?' यह सुनकर पहले तो उसकी खुशी का ठिकाना न रहा, लेकिन अगले ही क्षण वह यह सोचकर मायूस हो गया कि वह तो एक अछूत है। कोई संत उसके हाथों से पानी कैसे पी सकता है। संत को उसके चेहरे पर आ रहे भाव समझने में देर नहीं लगी। संत बोले - 'क्या बात है भाई, किस सोच में पड़ गए, यहां तो प्यास के मारे गला सूखा जा रहा है।' वह सकपका कर बोला- 'नहीं-नहीं, बात यह है कि आप जैसे संत को हम पानी कैसे पिला सकते हैं?' उसकी बात सुनकर संत हंसते हुए बोले -'तो आप पाप-पुण्य का इतना हिसाब रखते हैं,' संत की बात सुनकर वह और संकोच में पड़ गया। तभी संत ने उसके कंधे पर हाथ रख दिया - 'यह लो, तुमने मुझे नहीं, मैंने तुम्हें छुआ है। अब अगर पाप किसी ने किया है, तो मैंने किया है। क्या अब मुझे पानी पिलाओगे?' संत के मुख से ऐसी बातें सुनकर वह उनके सम्मुख नतमस्तक हो गया और झटपट भीतर जाकर पानी ले आया। पानी पीकर संत बोले -'देखो, हम सब एक ही परमात्मा की संतान हैं। हम सभी उसे बराबर प्यारे हैं। जो ईश्वर की संतान को छोटा-बड़ा समझता है, वह दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा अज्ञानी है। रात घिरने वाली है, क्या संभव है कि आज मुझे आप भोजन भी करवाएं?' उस रात संत ने उसी घर पर भोजन किया। वह संत थे स्वामी विवेकानंद।
