ज्ञान का दीपक ..(Knowledge of the lamp..)

भारतीय धर्म-दर्शन कहता है कि अगर आप सत्य का दीदार करना चाहते हैं, तो अंधकार से प्रकाश की ओर बढ़ें। भीतर के ‘ज्ञानदीप’ को जलाकर मीरा ने सत्य का दीदार किया था। यह विलक्षण दीप है, जिसमें कभी न घटने वाला प्रेम का तेल है और कभी न बुझने वाली दिव्य मन की बाती। भीतर वासना की काली बदली छाई हुई है। ज्ञान की ज्योति उसके नीचे सिमटकर रह गई है। थोड़ा ध्यान जगे-प्रेम जगे तो यह बदली छंटने लगेगी, ज्ञान की रश्मियां अन्तर्मन को प्रकाशित कर देगी और सत्य जगमगाने लगेगा। भीतर-बाहर शुद्धि के लिए गोस्वामी तुलसीदास ने ‘ज्ञानदीप’ की महिमा का बखान किया है। आचार्य शंकर कहते हैं कि देह के भीतर तीन तस्कर- काम, क्रोध और लोभ - ज्ञानरूपी मणि का अपहरण करने के लिए घात लगाए बैठे हैं। ज्ञान का दीप बुझते ही वे सद्गुणों का अपहरण कर लेते हैं और मनुष्य पतन के गर्त में गिर जाता है। भगवान बुद्ध की देशना है: ‘अप्प दीपो भव’। यानी अपना दीया स्वयं बनो और भव-बंधन से मुक्त हो जाओ। जैसे सूर्यास्त कभी नहीं होता वैसे ज्ञानदीप कभी नहीं बुझता। अज्ञान का पर्दा उठाएं, ज्ञान का सूर्य चमकने लगेगा। प्रकृति ने जुगनू के पंखों में रोशनी का उपहार दिया है। फिर भी वह अमावस के अंधेरे में अपनी मंजिल को लेकर चिंतित है। उसे बोध नहीं है कि यदि वह पंख खोलेगा, तो उसकी रोशनी तिमिर को चीरकर रख देगी। साहस के साथ उड़ान भरें और तम से लड़ने का संकल्प लें। मनुष्य को ‘विस्मृति-रोग’ हो गया है। वह जानता ही नहीं कि वह साक्षात ‘ज्ञानदीप’ है।  ध्यान की कुदाली से अज्ञान की पर्त को काटें। सत्य समझ में आने लगेगा। आज हमारा मानसिक संघर्ष बाहरी अंधेरे से जूझने का नहीं है। उससे तो सूर्य और दीपक सभी लड़ रहे हैं। भीतर के अंधेरे से कैसे लड़ें? एक नन्हा दीपक अपने निर्माता इंसान को आश्वस्त करता है कि यदि आप अंधेरे से लड़ना चाहते हैं तो अंधेरे से यारी निभाना छोड़ दें। सभ्यता की दुनिया की चकाचौंध में अंधेरा हमारा साथ छोड़ता ही नहीं। रोशनी बाहर से लानी पड़ती है, अंधेरा भीतर बना रहता है। कोई धर्म या अध्यात्म के नाम पर तो कोई राजनीति या समाजसेवा के नाम पर पसरे अंधकार को रोशनी बता रहा है। ये छली लोग हैं, जो रोशनी के नाम पर अंधकार का खेल खेल रहे हैं। यदि हम ऐसे खेल में शिरकत नहीं करते तो अंधेरा कम जरूर होगा।
