एक-दूसरे को क्षमा किए बिना समाज में सद्‌भावना संभव नहीं ..(Goodwill in society without forgiving one another, not possible...)

आज गुड फ्राइडे का पवित्र दिन है। आज प्रभु यीशु की पीड़ा, क्रूसयात्रा और मृत्यु को याद करते हुए लोग उनके कष्ट को महसूस करने का प्रयास करते हैं। यीशु मसीह को सूली पर आज से 2015 साल पहले चढ़ाया गया था। निर्दोष होते हुए भी उन पर देशद्रोह और ईशनिंदा का झूठा आरोप लगाया गया। उन्हें न केवल दोषी ठहराया गया बल्कि घोर अपराधियों के समान क्रूस पर मृत्युदंड 

की आज्ञा भी दी गई। तब से आज तक सब उन्हें दुनिया के मुक्तिदाता ईसा मसीह के रूप में जानते हैं। 

ईश्वर के पुत्र यीशु ने मनुष्य बनकर संसार से दुख और दर्द दूरकर लोगों को प्यार दिया, लेकिन उनके स्नेह से अनजान दुनिया ने उन्हें ठुकरा कर पाप को गले लगाया। अपनी स्वतंत्रता का दुरुपयोग कर मनुष्य ने ईश्वर की आज्ञा का बारंबार उल्लंघन किया और पाप के आगोश में समा गया। इस कारण मानव जाति को दुख का शिकार बनना पड़ा, लेकिन परम पिता ईश्वर, मानवजाति का दुर्भाग्य नहीं देख सके। उन्होंने अपने पुत्र को दुनिया में भेजा। ईश्वर ने संसार को इतना प्यार किया कि उसने उसके लिए अपने इकलौते पुत्र को अर्पित कर दिया, जिससे जो उसमें विश्वास करते हैं, उनका सर्वनाश न हो बल्कि वे अनंत जीवन हासिल करें।’

गुड फ्राइडे पर सभी गिरजाघर पहुंचते हैं और बड़ी संख्या में यीशु की विशेष आकृति के समक्ष मनन करते हैं। उनके पीछे-पीछे चलते हुए श्रद्धालु कलवारी के क्रूस तक उनका अनुसरण करते हैं। विशेष प्रार्थनाओं में बाइबल से पाठ किए जाते हैं, यीशु के क्रूस का चुंबन किया जाता है और धार्मिक रीति से पूजन विधि यीशु के आदर में अर्पित की जाती है। यीशु की सलीब पर टंगी हुई आकृति को लोगों के सामने लाया जाता है और तीन बार पुकारा जाता है - ‘क्रूस के काठ को देखिए, जिस पर टंगे हैं संसार के मुक्तिदाता।’ यीशु के बगल से बहती खून और पानी की धारा में ईसाई समुदाय अपने दुख-तकलीफों को कम होता महसूस करते हैं। यह अहसास उन्हें रक्तरंजित यीशु के करीब ले आता है।

यीशु सूली पर टंगे थे तो उन्होंने खुद पर अत्याचार करने वालों के लिए क्षमाप्रार्थना की -‘हे पिता, इन्हें क्षमा कर। ये नहीं जानते कि ये क्या कर रहे हैं।’ क्रूस पर कहे गए उनके अनमोल वचन गहरा अर्थ रखते हैं। आज यीशु द्वारा दिखाए गए क्षमादान, प्रेम, भाईचारे, दया, सहानभूति, सहयोग के साथ अपने जीवन को पवित्र रखने के मार्ग पर चलने का मौका मनुष्य को मिला है ताकि समाज में शांति और सौहार्द की स्थापना हो सके। परस्पर क्षमा किए बिना समाज में सद‌्‌भावना स्थापित नहीं हो सकती।
