सहज रहकर ही हम जीवन के सारे सुख हासिल कर सकते हैं ..(Staying comfortable life enjoyed all we can..)

एक आदमी जंगल से गुजर रहा था। उसे प्यास लग आई। पानी कहीं दीख नहीं रहा था। गरमी का दिन, दोपहर का समय। खोजते-खोजते एक कुआं दिखाई दिया। वहां गया। देखा, पानी है, रस्सी पड़ी है, डोल भी पड़ा है, पर पानी निकालने वाला कोई नहीं है। उसने सोचा, पानी निकालूं और प्यास बुझाऊं। दूसरे ही क्षण सोचा, मैं पानी कैसे निकालूं? मैं तो अमीरजादा हूं। मैं पानी निकालूं और कोई देख ले तो बड़प्पन चूर-चूर हो जाएगा। बड़े लोग क्या समझेंगे? वे कहेंगे - देखो अमीरजादा पानी हाथ से निकालकर पी रहा है! वह बिना पानी निकाले प्यास लिए, बैठ गया।

थोड़ी देर हुई, इतने में एक दूसरा आदमी आया। वही हालत। कंठ सूखा जा रहा है। बड़ी बुरी हालत हो रही है। गहरी प्यास, पानी को खोजते-खोजते वहीं आया। देखा, डोल पड़ा है, रस्सी है, कुएं में पानी है और आदमी भी बैठा है। बोला, ‘अरे भाई! प्यास बहुत लगी है, जरा पानी पिला दो।’ उसने कहा, ‘मैं अमीरजादा हूं, मैं कैसे पानी निकालूं, तुम निकालो।’ उसने कहा,‘मैं कैसे निकालूं, मैं नवाबजादा हूं।’ वह भी बैठ गया। पहले एक था, अब दो हो गए।

थोड़ी देर हुई, तीसरा आदमी आया। दूर से ही चिल्लाया- पानी-पानी! वे बोले नहीं। वह पास में गया, बोला, ‘अरे भाई! प्यासा हूं, पानी तो पिलाना चाहिए।’ वे बोले,‘शांत रहें, ज्यादा हल्ला करने की जरूरत नहीं है। मैं अमीरजादा हूं, पानी नहीं निकाल सकता।’ दूसरा बोला, ‘मैं कैसे निकालूं? मैं नवाबजादा हूं। तीसरे आदमी ने कहा-‘मैं भी पानी कैसे निकाल सकता हूं? मैं शहजादा हूं।’ तीनों प्यासे ही बैठ गए।

थोड़ी देर में चौथा आदमी आया। वह भी प्यासा था। वह कुंए पर आया। देखा कि तीन आदमी उदास बैठे हैं। वह डोल के रस्सी बांध पानी निकालने लगा तो वे तीनों बोले, ‘भाई! हमें भी पानी पिलाना।’ वह बोला, ‘सब साधन तो थे। पानी निकालते और पी लेते।’ पहला बोला, ‘अमीरजादा हूं। पानी निकालूं तो इज्जत भ्रष्ट हो जाए।’ दूसरा बोला, ‘नवाबजादा हूं, पानी निकालने के लिए थोड़े ही जन्मा हूं’ तीसरे ने कहा -‘मैं भी मजबूर हूं, क्योंकि शहजादा हूं।’ तब उस चौथे आदमी ने कहा, ‘ठीक है। बैठे रहो।’ वह पानी निकालकर पीने लगा। तीनों बोल पड़े, ‘अरे हमें भी पिलाओ।’ उसने कहा, ‘मैं हरामजादा हूं, पानी पीता हूं - पिलाता किसी को नहीं।’ वह पानी पीकर चलता बना। कहानी बताती है कि हम किस तरह अपने अहं के चौखटे में बंद रहते हैं। इंसान कष्ट सहकर भी झूठी मर्यादा को बचाने की कोशिश करता है। पर वास्तव में उसके हाथ कुछ नहीं लगता। हम और कुछ हों न हों सबसे पहले मनुष्य हैं। सहज रहकर ही हम जीवन के सारे सुख पा सकते हैं।
