ज्ञान की प्राप्ति ...(Gnosis ..)

आत्मा पर शरीर का आवरण चढ़ जाने से जीव स्वयं को शरीर मान बैठता है। फिर प्राप्त शरीर को एक सांसारिक नाम प्रदान कर दिया जाता है। उस सांसारिक नाम के संबोधन को ही वह अपना संबोधन मान बैठता है। यहीं से जीव के साथ गड़बड़ी प्रारंभ हो जाती है। जीवन भर इसी भ्रम के साथ जीव की स्थिति बनी रहती है। चूंकि असत्य के साथ जीवन का प्रारंभ होता है। इसलिए असत्य को सत्य मानकर वह उससे जीवन भर संयुक्त रहता है। इस कारण अपने केंद्र से दूर होता जाता है। हां, यदि साधक को कोई सतगुरु मिल जाए तो जीव अपने नित्य अविनाशी स्वरूप को जान सकता है, उसका साक्षात्कार कर सकता है। सतगुरु की प्राप्ति किए बगैर घट के भीतर छिपे चैतन्य स्वरूप आत्मा को देख पाना असंभव है।  चाहे करोड़ों उपाय क्यों न कर लिए जाएं। हां, सतगुरु की प्राप्ति करना भी सरल नहीं है। पूर्ण प्रकाशमान संत जो परम तत्व की अनुभूति कर चुके हैं वे ही दैदीप्यमान आत्मा का दर्शन करा सकते हैं। यहां साधक को अत्यंत सावधान रहने की आवश्यकता होती है। इस राह में धोखे भी बहुत हैं। मायावी लोग ऊपर से आडंबर बना लेते हैं और उनके आडंबर में भोले-भाले लोग फंस जाते हैं। इससे साधक का हित न होकर अहित अधिक हो जाता है। साधक को चाहिए कि पहले वह भगवान की निष्काम भक्ति में संलग्न होकर भगवान का दास बने। दीन भाव से स्वयं के कल्याण के लिए नित्य प्रार्थना करे। नि:स्वार्थ भाव से दूसरों का हित करने में स्वयं को लगाएं। फिर आत्मचिंतन करता हुआ भीतर की बुराइयों पर दृष्टिपात करते हुए अंत:करण की शुद्धि करने में लगे। यह उसी प्रकार से करता रहे जैसे किसान बीज बोने से पहले खेतों की तैयारी करने में लगता है। फिर परमात्मा की ओर से सतगुरु की व्यवस्था स्वमेव हो जाएगी। भगवान स्वयं अपने भक्त को तत्वज्ञान प्राप्त करने के लिए सतगुरु की व्यवस्था कर देते हैं। यही पूर्व से चली आ रही सत्य प्राप्ति की परंपरा है। इसके अतिरिक्त भटकने से जीव अपनी ही हानि करता रहेगा। इसलिए साधक को चाहिए कि वह भ्रमित न हो। यह ठीक समझ लेना चाहिए कि इस संसार में उसका हित करने वाला कोई नहीं है, मात्र एक ईश्वर के। इसलिए उसी की शरण में जाकर अपने मन को निर्मल करने में लग जाएं। आपको सतगुरु की प्राप्ति हो जाएगी और सतगुरु की कृपा से फिर ईश्वर की अनुभूति होगी।
