सभी में अपनापन महसूस करना ही स्वयं में उन्नति की पहचान है ..(I feel all warm Growth in itself is identified ..)

यह तो सभी मानते हैं कि संसार के सभी प्राणियों का कारण एकमात्र ईश्वर है। कोई उन्हें भगवान कहे, कोई प्रकृति, कोई अल्लाह, कोई कहे ब्रह्म तो कोई कहे नूर। कहन से परे एक तथ्य यह है कि सभी के कारण वही ईश्वर है। इसी नाते से हम सब का आपस में प्रगाढ़ संबंध है। जो लोग कहते हैं कि यह व्यक्ति तो मेरा अपना है, यह पराया, वे उस आत्म उन्नत अवस्था में नहीं हैं। यह भेद-भाव है। इसी अपने-पराये की भावना के कारण दुनिया में हिंसा, आपसी तनाव, मन-मुटाव, अपराध इत्यादि लगातार बढ़ते जा रहे हैं।

सभी के मन में चाह होती है कि सब ओर शांति हो, कहीं से उसे कोई खतरा न हो। सभी निश्चिंत होकर खुशहाल जीवन जिएं। इसके लिए आपसी प्रेम होना जरूरी है। श्रीचैतन्यदेवजी ने सभी मनुष्यों में एकता की स्थापना करने के लिए, उनमें आपसी प्रेम की भावना लाने के लिए संदेश दिया। उन्होंने कहा, हर मनुष्य का कर्त्तव्य है यह जानना कि उसके साथ-साथ सभी मनुष्य उसी परमपिता से आए हैं। साथ ही साथ यह भी जानना आवश्यक है कि ‘मैं कौन हूं और यह दूसरे मनुष्य कौन हैं? मेरा इन अन्य मनुष्यों से क्या संबंध है?’

श्रीचैतन्यदेवजी का कहना है कि मनुष्य का दूसरे सभी प्राणियों से संबंध है। ईश्वर का यह संदेश सभी प्राणियों के लिए है। जब इस संबंध का ज्ञान हो जाएगा तो एक मनुष्य दूसरे मनुष्य के प्रति या दूसरे प्राणी के प्रति हिंसा नहीं करेगा। आपसी मन-मुटाव तभी छंटेगा, जब हम एक-दूसरे को अपना सगा, अपना प्रिय, अपना भाई-बहन जानेंगे और मानेंगे। तभी उनके प्रति द्वेष, ईर्ष्या खत्म होगी और प्रेम बढ़ेगा। इससे शांति व एकता स्थापित करने की संभावना बढ़ेगी। 

वैज्ञानिक न्यूटन ने अपने नियम में बताया है कि प्रत्येक क्रिया अथवा कार्य के फलस्वरूप समान और विपरीत प्रतिक्रिया होती है। अर्थात आधुनिक विज्ञान ने भी यह माना है कि प्रत्येक क्रिया की समजातीय प्रतिक्रिया होती है। इसीलिए शास्त्रों का आदेश है कि किसी भी जीव के साथ किसी तरह की हिंसा नहीं करनी चाहिए क्योंकि हिंसा से किसी का भला नहीं हो सकता। किसी को मारना ही हिंसा नहीं है, बल्कि किसी भी प्राणी को तंग करना, परेशान करना भी जीव हिंसा ही है। जीव-हिंसा से कोई फायदा नहीं होता। दूसरे प्राणियों की हिंसा करने से अभी शायद कुछ फायदा नजर आए, किंतु अंत में पछताना ही पड़ता है। इसीलिए वेद-शास्त्र कहते हैं, मा हिंस्यात् सर्वाणि भूतानि। हिंसा से बचने का एकमात्र उपाय है आपसी संबंध का ज्ञान। इस ज्ञान को प्राप्त करने का तरीका है, जिज्ञासा। जिज्ञासा भगवान के भक्त से भी हो। अगर भगवान के भक्त का हम सत्संग करेंगे तो हमें यह ज्ञान स्वतः प्राप्त हो जाएगा कि हम कौन हैं, अन्य प्राणियों का स्वरूप क्या है तथा हमारा उनसे संबंध क्या है।
