भाईचारे की भावना ..(Fraternity .)

इस्लाम के आरंभ में नमाज के लिए अजान देने की सेवा को अत्यंत आदरणीय समझा जाता था। पैगंबर मोहम्मद साहब ने मक्का विजय के बाद एक नीग्रो गुलाम बिलाल को इस्लाम अपनाने पर पवित्र काबा की छत पर चढ़कर नमाज के लिए अजान देने का आदेश दिया। जब काले रंग और मोटे होंठों वाला बिलाल पवित्र काबा की छत पर अजान देने चढ़ा तो कुछ कुलीन अभिमानी अरब चिल्लाकर बोले,‘ओह! वह काला हब्शी अजान के लिए पाक काबा की छत पर चढ़ गया।’ अरबों के नस्ली गर्व और पूर्वाग्रह को देख पैगंबर मोहम्मद साहब ने उपदेश दिया - ऐ लोगो! यह याद रखो कि सारी मानव जाति केवल दो श्रेणियों में बंटी है। पहली धर्मनिष्ठ, खुदा से डरने वाली, जो खुदा की दृष्टि से सम्मानित है। दूसरी जो उल्लंघनकारी, अत्याचारी, अपराधी, निर्दयी और कठोर, जो खुदा की नजर में गिरी हुई और तिरस्कृत है। अन्यथा संसार के सभी लोग एक ही आदमी की औलाद हैं। अल्लाह ने आदम को मिट्टी से पैदा किया था। इसकी सत्यता का प्रमाण पवित्र कुरआन में इन शब्दों में दिया गया है, ‘ऐ लोगो, हमने तुमको एक मर्द और एक औरत से पैदा किया और तुम्हारी विभिन्न जातियां और वंश बनाए ताकि तुम एक दूसरे को पहचानो। असल में अल्लाह की निगाह में तुममें सबसे अधिक सम्मानित वह है जो अल्लाह से सबसे ज्यादा डरने वाला है।’ पैगंबर के सारगर्भित उपदेश का अरबों पर बहुत गहरा असर पड़ा। उन्होंने इस्लाम अपनाने वाले गुलाम नीग्रो लोगों का अपनी बेटियों से विवाह कर उनसे सम्मानपूर्ण संबंध स्थापित किए। मोहम्मद साहब ने अपने अनुयायियों को हमेशा रूप-रंग, जाति-नस्ल, ऊंच-नीच या किसी भी किस्म के भेदभाव अथवा अभिमान की व्यर्थता की बात समझाई और उसे पाप तथा पाखंड का दर्जा दिया।
