कर्म का फल ..(The fruits of karma ..)

अपने दैनिक जीवन में वैसे तो हम कई प्रकार के कार्यो का निष्पादन करते हैं, जिनमें से कुछ कार्य सार्थक होते हैं और कुछ कार्य निर्थक। किसी भी उद्देश्य के साथ किए गए कार्य को सार्थक कार्य कहते हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि किसी भी ‘सार्थक कार्य’ का समुचित फल अवश्य मिलता है। जबकि किसी उद्देश्य के बगैर किए गए कार्य को निर्थक कार्य कहा जाता है। लिहाजा इसका समुचित फल भी प्राप्त नहीं होता। जो भी व्यक्ति ईश्वर को समर्पित होकर कर्म करता है, उसका कर्म कभी निष्फल नहीं होता। लेकिन ऐसा प्रत्येक कर्म निष्फल हो जाता है, जिसमें कर्ता को अभिमान का बोध होता है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जब कर्ता में अभिमान का विसर्जन हो जाए तो उसके द्वारा किया गया कर्म सार्थक बन जाता है। वैसे भी कर्म का फल उसी को मिलता है, जो निष्ठापूर्वक और निरभिमान होकर कर्म करता है, लेकिन जो लोग कर्म के प्रति निष्ठावान नहीं होते और कर्म करने के पूर्व ही फल के प्रति आकांक्षी हो जाते हैं, वे जीवन में किसी भी फल की प्राप्ति नहीं कर सकते। यह सोचकर कि कर्म का फल तो मिलना ही है, यदि हम निष्काम कर्म करेंगे तो उसका परिणाम तो मिलेगा ही। दरअसल, फल के रूप में हमें वही प्राप्त होता है जो कर्म हम करते हैं। दूसरी ओर यदि कोई कर्म न करे और जीवनभर फल की कामना करता रहे तो उसे जीवन में अमृतकलश की प्राप्ति नहीं हो सकती।  रामचरितमानस के एक संदर्भ में लंकापति रावण ने इसी को स्पष्ट करते हुए लक्ष्मण के संदर्भ में कहा है कि जो व्यक्ति जमीन पर पड़ा हो और हाथ से आकाश पकड़ना चाहता हो, वह मूर्ख नहीं है तो और क्या है। दरअसल तुलसीदास जी ने यहां रावण के मुख से एक बहुत बड़े सत्य को उजागर कराया है, लेकिन ऐसा केवल लखन लाल के संबंध में ही नहीं कहा जा सकता। यह तो हम सभी पर लागू हो सकता है। हम सभी का जीवन उद्देश्यपूर्ण है। अपने उद्देश्य की प्राप्ति से ही जीवन सार्थक बनता है। कर्तव्यहीन व्यक्ति केवल कामना करता हुआ निरुद्देश्य जीवन जीकर चला जाता है। इसलिए सोद्देश्य जीवन जिएं। याद रखें मनुष्य ही एक ऐसा प्राणी है, जो सोद्देश्य जीवन जी सकता है। इसका कारण यह है कि प्राणी जगत में मनुष्य को ही ईश्वर ने अन्य जंतुओं की तुलना में विवेक प्रदान किया है।
