भारत की बगिया. (.India's nursery. . .)

सुभाष के घर से लगे हुए दो बड़े बगीचे थे। इनमें एक किचन गार्डन था और दूसरा फ्लावर गार्डन। किचन गार्डन में सब्जियां उगाई जाती थीं और फ्लावर गार्डन में रंग-बिरंगे मौसमी फूल। एक दिन माली काका बाग में गुलाब के पौधों को पानी दे रहे थे। नन्हे सुभाष वहां पहुंच गए और बोले, ‘माली काका, मुझे गुलाब बहुत पसंद है। लाइए, मैं इनको पानी दूं।’ माली काका ने सुभाष के हाथ में पानी का जग थमा दिया। वह पौधों में पानी डालने लगे। तभी सुभाष के हाथ में एक कांटा चुभ गया और उनके मुंह से चीख निकल गई। वह बोले,‘माली काका, गुलाब तो बहुत सुंदर हैं पर इनमें कांटे क्यों हैं? क्या आप ऐसी कोई खाद जानते हैं जो बिना कांटों के गुलाब उगा सके?’ सुभाष का प्रश्न सुनकर माली काका बोले,‘बेटा, जब जिंदगी में फूल के साथ कांटे होते हैं तो फिर पौधे में फूलों के साथ कांटे क्यों नहीं होंगे! जीवन में कोई चीज सरलता से नहीं मिलती। अब यही देखो, आज हमारा देश गुलाम है। हम आजाद होना चाहते हैं। तो हमें गुलाम बनाए रखने वाले अंग्रेज हमारे देश के कांटे हुए ना। अब अगर हम उन कांटों को निकालने की जुगत करेंगेे तो हमें अपना खून बहाना पड़ेगा। ऐसे ही जैसे गुलाब को निकालने के लिए कांटों को निकालना पड़ता है।’ माली काका की बात सुभाष के हृदय में उतर गई। वह बोले,‘माली काका, मैं इन कांटों को अपने देश से निकाल फेंकूंगा, चाहे इसके लिए मुझे कितना भी रक्त बहाना पड़े।’ सुभाष की बात पर माली काका आशीर्वाद देते हुए बोले, ‘बेटा, तुम्हारी सोच बहुत अच्छी है।’ युवा होने पर सुभाष चंद्र बोस ने लोगों से कहा- ‘तुम मुझे खून दो, मैं तुम्हें आजादी दूंगा।’ उनके इस नारे पर खून देने वालों की लंबी कतार लग गई और कांटे रूपी अंग्रेज भारत की बगिया से निकाले गए। 

आज जरूरत है देश में ऐसे ही लाखो सुभाष चन्द्र बोस की जो अपने ही देश में फल फूल रहे देशद्रोहियों और आतंकवादियों को यहाँ से भगा सके.
