आत्मबोध ..(Self-realization ..)

सदियों से जीवन के चक्रव्यूह में मानव अपने लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति के लिए प्रयास करता रहा है। वह अनवरत प्रयास करता रहता है कि कब अपने लक्ष्य का भेदन करे। अपनी शक्ति को जाने बगैर वह अनेक प्रयोग करता है। यदि कोई जान भी लेता है तो वह ठीक से प्रयोग नहीं कर पाता। वह अपनी शक्ति को अनावश्यक कार्यो में क्षीण कर देता है। अपनी शक्ति का सदुपयोग नहीं कर पाने के कारण आज के मानव के समक्ष अनेक प्रश्न खड़े हो गए हैं। जब आदमी पैदा हुआ था तब वह ठीक था। तब तक मन की दौड़ प्रारंभ नहीं हुई थी। विवेक को अपने स्वरूप का आभास नहीं हुआ था। आज की तरह उसके पास समस्याओं का अंबार नहीं था और न ही जीवन की दौड़ लंबी थी। वह जहां कहीं था, प्रसन्न था। आनंदित था। ज्यों ही व्यक्ति ने विकास के मार्ग पर कदम बढ़ाया, उसके मन में अनेक विचार आने लगे। तभी से वह संसार को अपना सब कुछ समझकर उसे अपने में समेटने का प्रयास करने लगा। उसका अपना ही भविष्य प्रश्न बनकर खड़ा होने लगा। समस्याएं पनपने लगीं। धीरे-धीरे परिवार की समस्या, समाज और राष्ट्र की समस्या और उनके प्रति उसके कर्तव्य बोध का भाव जाग्रत हुआ। अब वह धीरे-धीरे अपने आपको चारों तरफ से घिरा पाने लगा। मनुष्य की निर्मल विचारधारा अब संघर्ष में बदलने लगी। समाधान के जितने प्रयास किए गए, उतना ही उलझता गया। भागने का प्रयास किया, तो जीवन अनेक प्रश्न लेकर खड़ा हो गया। जीवन में दो प्रवृत्तियां सामने आईं - सांसारिक और आध्यात्मिक। दोनों में मन पर जो प्रवृत्ति ताकतवर बनकर छाई, व्यक्ति उधर ही झुक गया। आध्यात्मिक शांति के लिए मानव अपना साम्राज्य फैलाने में पूर्णतया कामयाब नहीं हो सका। उसने अतीत और वर्तमान में भौतिक विकास की चकाचौंध को महत्व दिया। भविष्य का गर्भ तो व्यक्ति के विकास में प्रश्न बनकर आज भी ज्यों का त्यों खड़ा है। कारण आत्मबोध से भागने की मनुष्य की प्रवृत्ति। फलस्वरूप काम, क्रोध, लोभ, ईष्र्या, द्वेष, मद आदि नकारात्मक प्रवृत्तियां आज मनुष्य की आध्यात्मिक विरासत को लूट रही हैं, लेकिन यह स्थिति अब ज्यादा दिनों तक चलने वाली नहींहै। ऐसा इसलिए, क्योंकि भौतिकतावाद की पराकाष्ठा पर पहुंचकर मनुष्य का भौतिकवाद से मोहभंग हो जाता है।
