गुरु यह चाहता है कि उसका शिष्य समर्पण के भाव में जाए ..(Guru wishes that his In the sense of dedication to the pupil ..)

योग परंपरा में शिव को भगवान नहीं बल्कि आदि योगी और आदि गुरु के रूप में माना जाता है। शिव ने अपने ज्ञान को फैलाना चाहा तो उन्होंने देखा कि इंसान के पास अपना परम लक्ष्य पाने के एक सौ बारह तरीके हैं। जब उन्हें लगा कि उनके सात शिष्यों यानी सप्तऋषियों को इन 112 तरीकों को सीखने में समय लगेगा तो उन्होंने उन सभी तरीकों को 16-16 के समूह में सात हिस्सों में बांट दिया। जब सप्तऋषियों ने उन सोलह तरीकों को सीख लिया तो आदियोगी ने उनसे कहा- अब वक्त आ गया है कि तुम इस ज्ञान को बाकी दुनिया में बांटने जाओ। 

यह सुनकर वे भावुक हो गए। वे लोग आदियोगी के बिना जीवन की कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकते थे। जब वे लोग वहां से जाने लगे तो अचानक आदियोगी ने उनसे कहा - मेरी गुरुदक्षिणा का क्या होगा? 

ऐसा नहीं है कि गुरु को किसी दक्षिणा या भेंट की जरूरत होती है। दरअसल, वह चाहता है कि जाते समय शिष्य अपनी कोई अनमोल चीज समर्पित कर, समर्पण के भाव में जाए। शिष्य हैरानी में पड़ गए कि क्या दिया जाए गुरुदक्षिणा में। उन शिष्यों के पास शरीर पर पहने बाघचर्म के अलावा और कुछ नहीं था।

अगस्त्य मुनि ने कहा - मेरे भीतर सबसे अनमोल 16 रत्न हैं। ये मैंने आपसे ही ग्रहण किए हैं, अब मैं आपको समर्पित करता हूं। यह कहकर आदियोगी से सीखे हुए उन 16 तरीकों को उन्होंने गुरु के चरणों में समर्पित कर दिया और खुद पूरी तरह से रिक्त हो गए। बाकी छह शिष्यों ने भी आदियोगी से सीखी सारी विद्याएं उन्हीं को भेंट कर दीं। अब वे सब पूरी तरह से खाली हो गए। यह समर्पण भाव है। उन ऋषियों के जीवन का परम लक्ष्य उस ज्ञान को हासिल करना था। उस ज्ञान को पाने के लिए उन्होंने 84 साल की कठोर साधना की थी। जब उन्हें यह ज्ञान मिला, तो एक ही पल में उन्होंने अपने जीवन की उस सबसे बेशकीमती चीज को अपने गुरु के कदमों में रख दिया। उनके पास कुछ भी न रहा। आदियोगी की शिक्षा का यह सबसे महान पहलू था। 

ऐसा न हुआ होता तो ये शिष्य अपनी सीखी 16 विद्याओं को ताज की तरह अपने सिर पर लेकर निकलते और दुनिया भर में उसका दिखावा व प्रचार करते। चूंकि समर्पण के बाद वे सभी भीतर से खाली हो गए, इसलिए आदियोगी द्वारा बताई सभी 112 विद्याएं उन सभी के भीतर स्वतः जाग्रत हो गईं। जो चीज वे पहले नहीं सीख सकते थे और जिसे ग्रहण करने की उनमें क्षमता नहीं थी, उसी चीज को वे महज इसलिए सीख पाए क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने जीवन की सबसे अनमोल चीज वापस उन्हीं को समर्पित कर दी थी।
