कब तक नहीं मानना चाहिए कि हम सफल हो गए हैं? ...(How long should not assume that we have succeeded?..)

किसान बड़े परिश्रम से अपनी फसल उगाता है और उसका सबसे बड़ा सपना होता है फसल को काटकर अन्न के रूप में उपयोग करना। कबीर दास द्वारा किसान की इस सफलता पर बड़ी सुंदर टिप्पणी की गई है। जब फसल बिल्कुल काटे जाने की तैयारी में होती है, तब किसान से एक चूक हो जाती है।

कबीर कह गए हैं - पकी खेती देखिके, गरब किया किसान। अजहूं झोला बहुत है, घर आवै तब जान।

इन पंक्तियों में ‘अजहूं झोला’, बड़ा सुंदर शब्द आया है। झोला का अर्थ है झमेला। फसल पक चुकी है, किसान बहुत प्रसन्न है। यहीं से उसे अभिमान आ जाता है, लेकिन प्रकृति इशारा कर रही है कि फसल काटकर घर ले जाने तक बहुत सारे झमेले हैं। कई कठिनाइयां हैं। जब तक फसल बिना बाधा के घर न आ जाए, तब तक सफलता न मानी जाए।

इसीलिए कहा है - ‘घर आवै तब जान।’

यह बात हमारे कार्यों पर भी लागू होती है। कोई भी काम करें, जब तक अंजाम पर न पहुंच जाएं, यह बिल्कुल न मान लें कि हम सफल हो चुके हैं।

बाधाओं की कई शक्लें होती हैं। इसी में से एक शक्ल अभिमान है तो दूसरी लापरवाही है। इसलिए कबीर ने इस ओर इशारा किया है। अब सवाल यह है कि अपनी सफलता को पूर्ण रूप देने के लिए अभिमान रहित कैसे रहा जाए? इसके लिए परमपिता परमेश्वर के प्रति लगातार प्रार्थना व आभार व्यक्त करते रहें, क्योंकि जब हम प्रार्थना में डूबे हुए होते हैं तो हमारी भावनाओं में, विचारों और शब्दों में समर्पण और विनम्रता का भाव अपने आप आता है। प्रार्थना करें और आभार मानें कि हे परमात्मा! आपका हाथ हमारी पीठ पर नहीं होता तो ये सफलता संभव नहीं थी।
