सापेक्षता का अर्थ ..(Meaning of Relativity ..)

आइंस्टीन के आविष्कारों से पूरा विश्व स्तब्ध था। विज्ञान में रुचि रखने वाले अनेक व्यक्ति व छात्र उनके पास अपनी जिज्ञासाएं लेकर आते रहते थे। आइंस्टीन सभी की जिज्ञासाओं को शांत करते हुए उन्हें सरल भाषा में हर बात समझा देते थे। एक बार विज्ञान के कुछ छात्र आपस में बातें कर रहे थे। उनमें से एक बोला,‘यार, मुझे अभी तक सापेक्षता का सिद्धांत समझ नहीं आया। यदि तुममें से किसी को इस बारे में पता है तो मुझे बताओ।’ उसकी बात सुन कर दूसरा छात्र बोला,‘तुमने तो आज मेरे मन की बात कह दी। मुझे भी सापेक्षता के सिद्धांत के बारे में कुछ पता नहीं चला। शिक्षकों ने समझाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन मेरे तो दिमाग के ऊपर से ही सब कुछ निकल गया।’ उनकी बात सुन कर तीसरा छात्र बोला,‘यार, तुमने इसके बारे में थोड़ा-बहुत जानने की कोशिश तो की, लेकिन मुझे तो सोपक्षता का क, ख, ग भी नहीं पता। आखिर पहले कोई यह तो बताए कि सापेक्षता है क्या?’ तभी पहला छात्र उत्सुकता से बोला,‘क्यों न हम वैज्ञानिक आइंस्टीन से ही इस बारे में पूछें।’ इस प्रकार वे सभी छात्र अपना प्रश्न लेकर आइंस्टीन के पास जा पहुंचे। आइंस्टीन उनका प्रश्न सुन कर मुस्कराए और बोले,‘सापेक्षता का अर्थ बहुत आसान है। मैं तुम्हें इसकी सरल व्याख्या बताता हूं।’ सभी छात्र बोले,‘हां सर बताइए।’ आइंस्टीन बोले,‘अपने किसी अत्यंत प्रिय व्यक्ति के निकट घंटों बैठ कर भी यही लगता है कि अभी तो कुछ ही मिनट हुए हैं। इसके विपरीत किसी अप्रिय व्यक्ति के साथ पांच मिनट भी एक घंटे जितने लंबे लगते हैं। यही ‘सापेक्षता’ है। यह सुन तीनों छात्र हैरानी से आइंस्टीन की ओर देख कर बोले,‘सर, आपने उच्च स्तरीय गणित पर आधारित इस सिद्धांत को वाकई कितनी सहजता से बता दिया, इसीलिए तो आप महान हैं।’
