गुफा में जाकर बैठ जाना नहीं है वैराग्य ..(Do not go down at the cave quietness..)

भगवान जब इस संसार में आते हैं, तब दुनिया के मनुष्यों में एक ध्रुवीकरण हो जाता है। कुछ एकदम उनके आदेश के अनुसार हर काम करने को तैयार हो जाते हैं और कुछ एकदम उनके खिलाफ हो जाते हैं। जो उनके आदेश के अनुसार काम करते हैं, वे धार्मिक हैं और जो उनके विपरीत करते हैं, वे अधार्मिक हैं। कृष्ण के समय में सुदामा जैसे भक्त भी आते हैं और कंस जैसे आदमी भी अर्थात ध्रुवीकरण हो जाता है। कोई उनकी निंदा किए बिना पानी नहीं पीते तो कोई गुणगान किए बिना पानी नहीं पीते। किन्तु धर्माचरण के लिए वैराग्य एक अति आवश्यक अंग है। वैराग्य का अर्थ सब कुछ छोड़ कर हिमालय की गुफा में भाग जाना नहीं है। अगर सब लोग घर-द्वार छोड़ कर हिमालय की गुफा में चले गए तो हिमालय की गुफाओं में सब लोगों के लिए स्थान होगा क्या? क्या इतनी गुफाएं हैं? अगर सभी वहां चले गए तो वहीं नगर नहीं बस जाएगा? फिर सेवा तो साधना का एक अंग है। सब अगर गुफा में चले गए तो सेवा किसकी करोगे? सेवा करने के लिए तो नर रूपी नारायण मिलेंगे नहीं।

तो वैराग्य का अर्थ क्या है?

दुनिया में सब कुछ ही विषय है। विषय छोड़ कर जाओगे कहां? अगर जंगल में चले गए तो वहां भी तुम्हारी ‘देह’ है, वह भी तो विषय है। उसको भी छोड़ना होगा। ‘मन’ भी तो एक विषय है। यह सब छोड़ देना तो मर जाना है। दुनिया में आए हो काम करने के लिए, जीने की साधना करने के लिए, मरने की साधना करने के लिए नहीं। वैराग्य माने हर चीज के बीच में रहो, किन्तु उस वस्तु के रंग से अपने मन को मत रंगो, उससे प्रभावित मत हो। दुनिया की हर वस्तु तुम्हारे वश में हो, तुम वस्तु के वश में नहीं जाओ। यह हुआ वैराग्य। 

धर्म क्या है? ‘ध्रियते धर्म: स एव परमप्रभु:’ अर्थात जो तुम्हें धारण कर रहा है, जो तुम्हारे जीवन का आधार है। हर वस्तु अपनी विशेषता से पहचानी जाती है। तुम्हारी जो विशेषता है, वही तुम्हारा धर्म है। जो तुम्हारा आधार है, वही तुम्हारा धर्म है। इसलिए धर्म का जो निर्देश है, वह मानना ही पड़ेगा। वहां प्रश्न नहीं।

धर्म के अनुसार तुमको चलना ही है। जैसे, तुम्हारा मन चाहा कि सिर नीचे और पैर ऊपर करके चलना है। यह मनुष्य के लिए स्वाभाविक नहीं, ऐसा करने से तुम्हारी मौत हो जाएगी। वह धर्म नहीं है। वहां तुम अपनी तर्क बुद्धि लगाओ कि ऐसा करने से हम स्वस्थ रहेंगे क्या? तुम स्वस्थ नहीं रह सकते। धर्म का निर्देश क्या है? धर्म का निर्देश है कि तुम्हें साधु होना चाहिए। साधु कौन है? जो व्यक्ति मन में सोचते हैं कि मेरे लिए मेरा प्राण जितना प्यारा है, दूसरे लोगों के लिए भी उनके प्राण उतने ही प्यारे हैं। ऐसा समझ कर जो दूसरों के साथ व्यवहार करते हैं, वही हैं साधु। साधुता के विरुद्ध तुम्हें नहीं जाना। जहां धर्म का निर्देश है, वहां दूसरी बात नहीं चलेगी।
