भक्ति और श्रद्धा ..(Devotion and faith ..)

भक्ति और श्रद्धा में बड़ा मामूली अंतर है। कभी -कभी तो यह लगता है कि दोनों आपस में दूध -पानी की तरह इस प्रकार घुल गए हैं कि उन्हें अलग से पहचानना कठिन है। कहते हैं श्रद्धा श्रेष्ठ के प्रति होती है और भक्ति आराध्य के प्रति, किंतु देखा जाए तो दोनों में अति सूक्ष्म अंतर होते हुए भी अर्थ और भाव की दृष्टि से काफी असमानता है। गुरु के प्रति किसी की श्रद्धा भी रहती है और भक्ति भी, लेकिन आराध्य के प्रति व्यक्ति की मात्र भक्ति ही रहती है। श्रद्धा अनुशासन में बंधी है तो भक्ति दृढ़ता और अनन्यता के साथ न्योछावर करती रहती है अपने को। श्रद्धा में आदर की सरिता बहती है, तो भक्ति में प्रेम का समुद्र लहराता रहता है। दोनों में यही मूल फर्क समझ में आता है।  श्रद्धा स्थिर होती है और भक्ति मचलती रहती है। विनय दोनों में है, किंतु श्रद्धा का भाव तर्क-वितर्क के ताने-बाने बुनता रहता है, तो भक्ति अपने आराध्य के प्रति पूर्ण समर्पित होकर उसके भाव आदि की समीक्षा न करके, उस पर खुद को उड़ेलती रहती है। शास्त्र कहते भी हैं कि भगवान भाव के भूखे होते हैं। दरअसल जिस प्रकार बादल के साथ पानी की बूंदे जुड़ी रहती हैं, उसी तरह से भक्ति भी श्रद्धा का एक रूप ही है। बाहर से देखने पर बादल की तरह और छू देने पर बूंदें गिरने लगें। यहां भक्ति का पलड़ा केवल इसलिए भारी है कि इसके साथ प्रेम भी जुड़ा है। प्रेम संसार का ऐसा तत्व है जिसकी तुलना किसी से नहीं की जा सकती। इसी प्रेम की पुकार पर भगवान प्रकट होते हैं और मनुष्यावतार के द्वारा धर्म, पृथ्वी, गौ और जन-जन के कष्टों का निवारण करते हैं। यह प्रेम भक्ति का ही एक रूप है। भक्ति की लता प्रेम की डोर पर चढ़ कर ही अपने आराध्य तक पहुंचती है। प्रेम की यह डोर भक्त को भक्ति की पराकाष्ठा तक पहुंचा देती है। श्रद्धा यहां पर मात्र भक्ति को पुष्ट करने का काम करती है इसीलिए कहा गया है कि श्रद्धा और भक्ति एक-दूसरे की पूरक हैं। शरीर और आत्मा की भांति एक दूसरे से जुड़ी हुईं। यहां पर एक बात का ध्यान रखना है कि अंधश्रद्धा या अंध भक्ति दोनों ही व्यक्ति के लिए घातक हैं। व्यक्ति किसी के प्रति चाहे श्रद्धा रखे या भक्ति सबमें समीक्षा और मीमांसा होनी चाहिए। यानी देख-सुनकर ही केवल किसी पर अपनी श्रद्धा-भक्ति स्थिर नहीं करनी चाहिए, बल्कि उसकी भली-भांति परीक्षा करके ही अपने भाव प्रकट करने चाहिए। यही श्रद्धा-भक्ति फलदायी होती है।
