अनुचित अपेक्षाएं ..(Unreasonable expectations...)

मनुष्य की अपेक्षाओं और आकांक्षाओं का अंत नहीं। ठीक भी है, सांसारिक जीवन-यात्र में अनेकानेक आवश्यकताएं हैं, जिसके बिना कठिनाइयां होती हैं, लेकिन इसका यह मतलब नहीं कि इसके लिए अनुचित तरीके अपनाए जाएं। प्राय: धर्म पथ पर कदम रखते ही इस तरह की अनुचित आकांक्षाएं ज्यादा सामने आती हैं कि कोई पूजा या अनुष्ठान शुरू करते, किसी तीर्थ यात्र या मंदिर में जाते ही भगवान उन सारी आकांक्षाओं को पल भर में पूरा कर देंगे। जबकि किसी भी आवश्यकता, आकांक्षा, लक्ष्य के लिए जो तौर-तरीके या सिद्धांत हैं, उसे पूरा किए बगैर भगवान के सहारे छोड़ देने का आशय अपने को अज्ञानी, आलसी और मूर्ख की श्रेणी में खड़ा करना है। अध्यात्म में तो चमत्कार की अपेक्षा पालना भी अवैज्ञानिकता है। सत्य यह है कि पूजा-पाठ, मंदिर दर्शन से मन को सशक्त बनाने का काम करना चाहिए। तीर्थ यात्र आदि जाने पर मार्ग की कठिनाइयों को ङोलने की आदत बनानी चाहिए। त्रेतायुग में जब माता सीता का हरण हो गया और भगवान राम पेड़-पौधों से सीता का पता पूछ रहे थे, तब भगवान शंकर से पार्वती कहती हैं कि आप इसी रोने वाले राम को ब्रह्म मानकर निरंतर इनका नाम जपते रहते हैं। इस सवाल पर भगवान शंकर कहते हैं-हां पार्वती, ये ब्रह्म हैं, ये जगत को संदेश दे रहे हैं कि मानव-जीवन पाने पर ब्रह्म की भी जब यह हालत होती है तो साधारण मनुष्य की तो होगी ही। भगवान सीता को पाने के लिए भ्रमण, जनसहयोग, युद्ध करते हैं। देखने में आता है कि श्लोक, मंत्र, भजन आदि में ऐश्वर्य, धन, संपत्ति, पद-प्रतिष्ठा, संकट-निवारण की बात लिखी होती है तो लगता है कि इसे पढ़ते ही सब काम हो जाएगा। न होने पर अविश्वास होने लगता है। रामचरित मानस का पाठ करते वक्त रुपये-पैसे, नौकरी-चाकरी के संकट की जगह कमजोर आत्मबल, क्रोध, लालच, क्षुद्रता आदि के संकट से घिरे मन को मुक्त करने का भाव होना चाहिए। इसी प्रकार हनुमान चालीसा में  ‘छूटहिं बंदि महासुख होई’ का आशय लोग जेल गए व्यक्ति के जेल से बाहर होने का लगाते हैं, जबकि यहां भी काम, वासना, लोभ, लालच के जेल में पड़े मन की मुक्ति का ही आशय है। इससे आत्मविश्वास बढ़ता और मनुष्य धीरे-धीरे सद्विचारों की ओर अग्रसर होता है। यह एक ऐसा भाव है कि इसके चलते जीवन का प्रभाव बढ़ जाता है और सारे अभाव खत्म हो जाते हैं।
