जन्म-मरण ..(Birth and death ..)

जिसका जन्म हुआ है उसकी मृत्यु सुनिश्चित है। मनुष्य जीवन और मृत्यु के चक्र को यदि सही तरह से समझ ले तो काफी हद तक उसकी परेशानियां दूर हो सकती हैं। पांच तत्वों से बना यह शरीर परमात्मा की दी हुई अमूल्य धरोहर है। इसलिए जीते जी यह जानना आवश्यक है कि हम कौन हैं, कहां से आए हैं और अंतत: हमें कहां जाना है। जन्म और मृत्यु के संबंध में प्राचीनकाल से अनेक भ्रांतियां लोक परंपरा के रूप में प्रचलित हैं। आज तक जीवन-मृत्यु के सत्य को ठीक से इसलिए नहीं समझा गया कि विज्ञान ने प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण के आधार पर निष्कर्ष निकालने का प्रयास किया है। संसार में सब कुछ प्रत्यक्ष नहीं है, अप्रत्यक्ष भी सृष्टि का अंग है। सृष्टि प्रत्यक्ष और परोक्ष, दोनों शक्तियों से निर्मित है। जो प्रत्यक्ष है उसे अणु कहते हैं और जो अप्रत्यक्ष है उसे विभु कहते हैं। सृष्टि में दोनों महत्वपूर्ण हैं। जैसे शरीर अणुओं से निर्मित है तो प्राण विभु है। इसलिए प्राणतत्व को समझना विज्ञान की समझ से बाहर की चीज है। यही कारण है कि जन्म और मृत्यु को अभी तक विज्ञान नहीं समझ सका है। आइंस्टीन जैसे विज्ञान के महान ज्ञाता के सामने जब परमाणु की अंतिम इकाई सामने आई तो वह स्वयं भ्रमित हो गए। वह निर्णय नहीं कर सके कि परमाणु की अंतिम इकाई प्रकाश है या ध्वनि है। ऐसा इसलिए, क्योंकि विभु की व्यापकता विज्ञान की समझ से बाहर है। इसलिए विज्ञान जब जन्म और मृत्यु की चर्चा करता है तो निष्कर्ष के पहले ही चुप हो जाता है। भारत में अध्यात्म को विज्ञान के महाविज्ञान के रूप में स्वीकार किया गया। जैसे विज्ञान कहता है कि दो से दो घटा लेने पर शून्य बचता है। यह विज्ञान का सामान्य नियम है, लेकिन अध्यात्म कहता है कि जो पूर्ण है उससे जितना चाहे निकाल लो, वह पूर्ण ही बचेगा। शून्य से जितना भी निकालो शून्य ही बचेगा। इसलिए जीवन और मृत्यु के रहस्यों का उद्घाटन केवल अध्यात्म कर सकता है, विज्ञान नहीं। विज्ञान की भाषा में ब्रह्मांड  को तत्व कह सकते हैं। अध्यात्म इसे प्राण ऊर्जा कहता है। यह प्राण ऊर्जा संपूर्ण ब्रह्मांड में व्याप्त है। मनुष्य के शरीर में जब पांच तत्व पृथ्वी, जल, वायु, अग्नि और आकाश समतुल्य मात्र में एकत्र होते हैं तो शरीर बन जाता है। हमें इस समतुल्यता को भलीभांति समझना होगा।
