उदारता की मिसाल..(Example of generosity...)

एक बार पूर्व राष्ट्रपति एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम सृजनपाल सिंह के साथ आईआईएम, शिलांग जा रहे थे। उनके साथ कारों का काफिला था। डॉ. कलाम अपने साथी सृजनपाल के साथ दूसरी कार में थे। उनके आगे एक खुली जिप्सी थी, जिसमें तीन सैनिक थे। दो सैनिक दोनों ओर बैठे हुए थे और एक दुबला-पतला जवान बंदूक ताने बीच में खड़ा था। एक घंटे तक कलाम साहब देखते रहे कि वह लगातार खड़ा हुआ है। कुछ देर बाद वह अपने साथी से बोले, ‘वह खड़ा क्यों है, थक जाएगा। यह तो उसके लिए सजा हो गई। क्या आप उसे बैठ जाने के लिए वायरलैस से संदेश भिजवा सकते हैं?’ यह सुनकर साथी बोले, ‘सर, सुरक्षा के लिए उसे खड़े रहने का निर्देश है।’ 

तीन घंटे के बाद कलाम साहब ने अपने साथी से कहा,‘क्या हम उसे इशारे से बैठने के लिए कह सकते हैं।’ सृजनपाल ने जवाब दिया, ‘सर, हम इशारे से उन्हें बैठने के लिए कैसे कहें, उनका ध्यान दूसरी ओर है।’ जब कलाम साहब को इस बात का अहसास हो गया कि उन्हें बैठने के लिए नहीं कहा जा सकता तो वह बोले, ‘मैं मिलकर उसका धन्यवाद करना चाहता हूं।’ 

आईआईएम पहुंचने के बाद डॉ. कलाम ने उस जवान को अपने पास बुलाया और उसे धन्यवाद देते हुए बोले, ‘थैंक्यू दोस्त, क्या आप थक गए हैं? क्या आप कुछ खाना चाहेंगे? मैं माफी चाहता हूं कि आपको मेरे कारण इतनी देर तक खड़े रहना पड़ा।’ कलाम साहब की विनम्रता देखकर वह जवान भौंचक रह गया। उसे समझ में ही नहीं आ रहा था कि वह कहे तो क्या कहे? वह सिर्फ इतना बोल पाया, ‘सर, आपके लिए तो हम छह घंटे भी खड़े रहने को तैयार हैं। आपकी विनम्रता ने हमें निरुत्तर कर दिया है।’ उस जवान की यह बात सुनकर डॉ. कलाम के चेहरे पर मुस्कान आ गई ।

(Once the former President APJ Abdul Kalam Srijnpal Singh IIM, Shillong were going. He had a fleet of cars. Dr. Kalam was in the second car with his partner Srijnpal. Their was a wide open Gypsy, which were three soldiers. Two soldiers were sitting on either side and in the middle stood a thin young gun warp. Kalam watched an hour he stood in a row. A few minutes later, he said to his companion, 'Why is he standing, will be tired. It was punishment for him. You can send messages from wireless to let him down? "Hearing this fellow said, 'Sir, is directed to stand him for protection."

Three hours later, his fellow Kalam said, "What we can say to him to sit by a gesture." Srijnpal replied, "Sir, we gestured for them to sit, how to put their attention on the other hand. "when Kalam realized that this thing can not be said for them to sit so she said, 'I want to thank her together."

Dr. IIM reaching. Kalam called on to the young man and thanked him, saying, "Thank You, friend, are you tired? would you like to eat something? I'm sorry that you had to stand by me for so long. 'Kalam saw the young man's humility was shocked. He said that he did not know what to say so? He found just saying, 'Sir, for you we are ready to stand for six hours. Your humility, we have silence. "The young man listened to the voice of Dr. Kalam came smile.)
