भूकंपों से विनाशलीला (Disaster from earthquakes ..)

 

नेपाल और बिहार  में आए भूकंप से हुई तबाही के ब्यौरे धीरे-धीरे सामने आएंगे। ठीक उसी तरह, जैसे गुजरात में हुआ था। और गुजरात तो एक सीधी-सपाट जगह है, फिर भी टीवी कैमरों को अहमदाबाद और गांधीनगर से निकल कर भुज तक पहुंचने में कई दिन लग गए थे। नेपाल का मामला बिल्कुल अलग है। रास्ते तबाह हो जाने के बाद अगल-बगल के दो गांवों के बीच भी आवाजाही ठप हो जाती है। नेपाल और उत्तराखंड के बीचोबीच से गुजरती हुई लगभग गोलाकार रेखा को हमेशा से भूकंपों का गढ़ बताया जाता रहा है। दरअसल, यूरेशिया और भारत को अपने ऊपर धारण करने वाली टेक्टॉनिक प्लेटें इसी रेखा के आसपास एक-दूसरे से जुड़ती हैं। भूगर्भशास्त्री बताते हैं कि भारतीय प्लेट यूरेशियाई प्लेट को साढ़े चार सेंटीमीटर सालाना की रफ्तार से दबा रही है। यहां कोई बड़ा भूकंप तब आता है, जब दबाव बेकाबू हो जाता है और यूरेशियाई प्लेट को दरेरा देती हुई भारतीय प्लेट उसके नीचे सरक जाती है। आश्चर्य है कि इतनी भयानक स्थिति के बावजूद नेपाल में बड़े भूकंप बहुत कम आते हैं। अभी, यानी 25 अप्रैल 2015 वाले भूकंप की टक्कर का कोई मामला 81 साल पहले 15 जनवरी 1934 में ही हुआ था, जिसने काठमांडू 

घाटी और उत्तरी बिहार को लगभग पूरा ही तबाह कर दिया था। 

उस भूकंप के जो ब्यौरे मिलते हैं, उनसे दुनिया के किसी भी भूकंप की तुलना करना कठिन है। बिहार और नेपाल में तीन सौ किलोमीटर लंबे तराई क्षेत्र को उसने दलदल में बदल दिया था। जगह-जगह पानी के फव्वारे फूट पड़े थे। रेत इतनी ऊपर तक आ गई थी कि ज्यादातर तालाब-कुएं सिरे से काम लायक नहीं रह गए थे। मरने वालों का आंकड़ा भी दोनों देशों को मिलाकर 20 हजार के आसपास था। जाहिर है, भूकंप के प्रभाव सिर्फ उसकी तीव्रता पर नहीं, जमीन में भूकंप केंद्र की गहराई और ऊपरी सतह की मजबूती के अलावा इंसानी निर्माण की गुणवत्ता पर भी निर्भर करते हैं। बीती 15 फरवरी को बेंगलुरू के भूकंप शास्त्रियों ने उत्तराखंड में अपनी जांच-पड़ताल के बाद इस क्षेत्र में जल्द ही एक बड़ा भूकंप आने की भविष्यवाणी की थी। संभव है, नेपाल के भूकंप से यह आपदा लंबे समय के लिए टल गई हो। इस  दुःख की  घड़ी में पूरी दुनिया एक साथ खड़ी है, और सहयोग कर रही है. भारत सरकार सहयोग में सबसे आगे है, और वे धन्यवाद के पात्र है. आज जरूरत है लोग जाती धर्म से ऊपर उठकर मानवता की सेवा करे और जरूरत वालो को सहयोग करे. यही सच्ची पूजा है, वास्तविक  धर्म है. भूकंप में मारे गए सभी लोगो को  भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि। ईश्वर इनके परिवार को दुःख सहने की शक्ति दे.
