मानव धर्म ..(Human righteousness ..)

जब एक बार व्यक्ति मनुष्य योनि में आ जाता है तो मानवता उससे स्वयं जुड़ जाती है, लेकिन इस मानवता का उसे हमेशा ध्यान रखना चाहिए और इससे विलग न होना ही उसके जीवन की सार्थकता है। कहते हैं कि मानव की प्रतिष्ठा में ही धर्म की प्रतिष्ठा है। कोई भी धर्म श्रेष्ठ और महान हो सकता है, लेकिन मानवता से बड़ा कोई धर्म नहीं हो सकता। स्वामी विवेकानंद मानव धर्म को ही सर्वोपरि समझते थे। वे बेलूर में रामकृष्ण परमहंस मठ की स्थापना के लिए धन एकत्र कर रहे थे। इसके लिए जमीन पहले ही खरीदी जा चुकी थी। उन्हीं दिनों कोलकाता में प्लेग की महामारी फैल गई। स्वामी जी ने तुरंत मठ निर्माण की योजना टाल दी और एकत्रित धनराशि से रोगियों की सेवा करने लगे। किसी ने उनसे पूछा, अब मठ का निर्माण कैसे होगा? स्वामी जी ने कहा, इस समय मठ निर्माण से अधिक मानव सेवा की आवश्यकता है। मठ तो फिर बन सकता है, लेकिन गया हुआ मानव हाथ नहीं आएगा। स्वामी विवेकानंद कहते हैं कि सच्ची ईशोपासना यह है कि हम अपने मानव-बंधुओं की सेवा में अपना पूरा जीवन लगा दें। जब पड़ोसी भूखा मरता हो तब मंदिर में भोग चढ़ाना पुण्य नहीं, बल्कि पाप है। जब मनुष्य दुर्बल हो, तब हवन में घी जलाना अमानवीय कर्म है। जो जाति रोटी को तरस रही है, उसके हाथ में धर्म ग्रंथ रखना उसका मजाक उड़ाना है।’ लेकिन वर्तमान में लगभग सभी व्यक्ति इसके विपरीत कार्य कर रहे हैं। वे तो बस अपनी खुशियां ढूंढ रहे हैं। हालांकि वे इस बात को भूल गए हैं कि जब वे औरों को खुशियां देंगे तो उन्हें अपने आप खुशियां मिल जाएंगी। एक ज्ञानी संत की मृत्यु हो गई। धर्मराज ने उन्हें नर्क भेजने का आदेश सुनाया। इस पर संत ने कहा, मैंने सालों तक ईश्वर की तपस्या की फिर मुझे स्वर्ग में क्यों नहीं भेजा जा रहा है? धर्मराज से कहा, हे वत्स मुझे पता है कि तुमने कठिन से कठिन तप किया। किसी को कष्ट नहीं दिया, लेकिन तुमने परोपकार भी नहीं किया। अपने अर्जित ज्ञान से किसी अज्ञानी की मदद नहीं की, किसी रोगी का उपचार नहीं किया, किसी भटके राही को सही मार्ग नहीं दिखाया। वास्तव में तुम जानते ही नहीं हो कि परोपकार ही असल मायने में ईश्वर की सेवा करना है। यह सुनकर संत को अपनी गलती का अहसास हुआ।
